Concert Programme

We tend to rehearse slightly more music than we need during each season then selecting the pieces that we enjoy and work best along the way. This concert’s programme will be taken from:

• Weber – Der Freischutz Overture
• Elgar – Bach’s Fantasia and Fugue in C minor for Organ (orchestral arrangement)
• Elgar – Bavarian Dances (Nos. 1 & 3)
• Schubert – Unfinished Symphony
• Dvorak – Slavonic Dances (Op. 46, Nos. 2 & 3)
• Borodin – In the Steppes of Central Asia

and, possibly

• Holst – Moorside Suite

Tickets

We do not charge for admission to our concerts but instead we hold a retiring collection as you leave.  Proceeds from the collection are split between the orchestra (which is a charity) and a UK charity nominated by the orchestra’s members.  The second charity is different for each concert.
